ViceVersa today

Practical experience of organization and support the day-to-day information activities of the knowledge workers resulted in deep understanding of issues and challenges of the state-of-the-art information management. It was obvious that some critical problems in this area required new approaches, solutions and tools strongly focused on the content semantics to reveal the real value in information.

With this idea, in 2007 – 2008, ViceVersa revised its strategy to move towards more technologically-oriented company. Start of the own R&D and software engineering activities and a new “ViceVersa Technologies” service mark reflected this change as well as a re-registration of the legal entity in 2009. New, semantically powered technologies of content and document management have been chosen as a primary direction.

The first implementation of the new strategy resulted in the design and development of SCAN (Smart Content Aggregation and Navigation) open source software platform for semantic document management. At the moment (2009), a personal desktop version of SCAN is provided for customers and the company’s R&D efforts are focused on the development of a server version of the platform for small and medium enterprises. Professional high-quality support services for SCAN technology are offered by the company.

ViceVersa Technologies is always interested in partnership and cooperation with commercial companies and academic institutions for collaborative research and development projects.
